After it began to dry, the background was painted in as a darker negative shape behind the golden lit bushes. The palette was very simple, burnt sienna, french ultramarine blue and quinacridone gold.</p>

This is the demo I started using three colors, rose madder, raw sienna and french ultramarine blue. I also pulled out the Ace "tree brush", a 1/2" natural bristle brush that lets you get random color mixing and loose brush work.</p>
