Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 06:09PM A fellow artist and myself enjoyed painting this scene, while sitting and listening to Italian music in front of Bisetti's restaurant.
Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 05:47PM This is a historical landmark in town. It is now used as the Artist in Residence Studio, for visiting artists throughout the year. During a reception for the current artist, I sat across the street and captured this painting in my Moleskin Watercolor Journal.
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 02:02PM Yesterday, I met up with WOW • Women of Watercolor in Silver Plume, Colorado.
It is a very historic little place full of yesterdays treasures and todays sweetness. This bakery was closed for the day, but the owner filled the bread box with fresh loaves. I was amazed the number of customers that knew of this, selected their bread and left the correct amount of change. The honor system does work!
This is the painting of the day.
Monday, August 10, 2009 at 07:35PM I was gifted with these beautiful gladiolas from our neighbor and wanted to capture them in watercolor.
I have been inspired to paint flowers after seeing the Joseph Raffael Exhibition, that is currently in Fort Collins at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
If you have the chance, I would highly recommend seeing these paintings before they leave town. The exhibit runs through August 20th!

I could not leave without drawing yet a new cruiser bike. This will be
fun adding the watercolor to the hot press paper it was drawn on.

We headed back to the Frisco Marina for our final paint day of the
workshop.
This demo is a trio of docked sail boats and we renamed the front boat

This mornings demo was a "Zen with the Pen" approach. There is a
Starbucks in Breckenridge, Colorado.

We had our second workshop the week of July 20th.
This demo is in the beginning stages. I completed a value sketch with
burnt sienna and ultramarine blue first.
The location is the Blue River at the Riverwalk in Breckenridge.

I found this bike at the marina and started it as demo #2 for the day.
A waterproof fine tip marker was used, then with a waterbrush I began
adding watercolor.
